The trail itself was interesting and challenging, however, the reason I am leaving 1 star is the service. No one greeted us when we arrived, and as the whole group was French, we felt that we received significantly less attention as English speakers.

I saw the guide giving the other participants tips, helping them and encouraging them to jump into the river. At the final jump, he asked me once if I wanted to jump, and I said no. However, after seeing him encourage the others, I changed my mind and asked if I could jump as well. Instead of receiving the same guidance, I was simply rushed away and told I could only jump with another guide and might injure myself. This was confusing, as I had been asked whether I wanted to jump in the first place, which suggested that the guide considered it an option for me.

Overall, we did not feel particularly welcome or well looked after as English-speaking tourists, which unfortunately had a significant impact on our experience. I would not recommend this experience to tourists who do not speak French.

This is a must do experience!

We had the fantastic Jeff as our guide, who took us down part of the gorge above Pont du Loup.

Be prepared though - you do need a relatively good level of fitness and ability to swim to enjoy this fully.

There's a definite chance that you could die, but that just adds to the exhilaration. In honesty, I've never been pushed head first upside-down over the edge of a waterfall before, but it was great!

Tolle Erfahrung, tolle Gruppe, wunderschöne Natur und ein liebevoller, witziger guide. Wir wurden am Treffpunkt mit dem Equipment ausgerüstet, sind dann alle gemeinsam ein paar Minuten gefahren und dann ging es direkt los. Mein Freund fühlte sich anfangs etwas unwohl, weil er kein sicherer Schwimmer ist, aber Jeff hat ihn unterstützt und ermutigt- am Ende hat er alles mitgemacht. Vielen Dank für den schönen Ausflug!
